[ ]Alagaësia (20 sub-boards)
Alagaësia is a large continent with variegated climate and terrain, home to a wide number of creatures such as humans, elves, dwarves, and dragons. Several of the races inhabiting Alagaësia, including humans, elves, and Urgals, are not native to the land, having migrated from Alalëa in centuries past.
00
[ ]Palancar Valley (4 sub-boards)
The Palancar Valley is a valley in northern Alagaësia. The Igualda Falls are located at the valley's northern end; the Anora River flows from the falls southward through the valley. Carvahall and Therinsford are the only villages in the region.
00
[ ]The Spine (6 sub-boards)
The Spine is a mountain range that runs down the west coast of Alagaësia. It has only one major pass, along the Toark River, which isolates the coast. Most people in the Empire fear the Spine and the danger it represents, especially since Galbatorix lost nearly half his army in it during his campaign against the Dragon Riders. After this incident, hardly anyone dares to venture near to this dangerous mountain range.
00
[ ]Hadarac Desert
The Hadarac Desert is a large desert in central Alagaësia. It is the only known desert on the continent.
00
[ ]Beor Mountains (8 sub-boards)
The Beor Mountains are part of a mountain range in southeastern Alagaësia.
00
[ ]Du Weldenvarden (11 sub-boards)
Du Weldenvarden (translated "The Guarding Forest") covers most of northern Alagaësia. It is the location of the elven capital, Ellesméra, as well as the elves' entire hidden nation.

The forest flourished under the care of the elves, who use planting spells to make the trees and plants grow larger and at an extremely rapid pace. It is home to many wonderful and horrible creatures, some of which only the elves know about. All of the buildings in Ellesmera are seemingly grown out of Du Weldenvarden's trees, and the trees also respond when elves sing to them. Marvelous workings can be created from the trees.

[ ]Surda (7 sub-boards)
Surda is a small country in southern Alagaësia, on the southwest border of the Empire. It was founded around twenty years before the beginning of the Rider War, and remained outside of Galbatorix's Empire, as he did not consider it a great threat. Consequently, many outlaws from the Empire sought refuge there, including the Varden.
00
[ ]The Sea (7 sub-boards)
The sea is a large body of water that is found west of Alagaësia. Many exotic creatures, such as giant sea serpents, like the one Fundor killed, can be found in this body of water. There are many islands in the sea, some of which are inhabited. Pirates roam the sea, pillaging ships and coastal towns. Ports like Teirm were built for sea travel.
There is also the North Sea, a smaller stretch of water in the north west of Alagaësia. This is the body of water that Ceunon was built upon.

(It was also the first sea that Horst had ever set his eyes upon. He sees is when Roran and the other villagers from Carvahall escape to Surda.)
